Top 10 in Dallas in 2013

Things to do in Dallas I’ve been living in Dallas for 4 years and there are still so many things I haven’t done. As my husband is finishing up grad school, and the time we have left in Dallas is unknown, I want to make sure I take advantage of some of the unique things Dallas has to offer.

We recently visited the Dallas World Aquarium, we’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Gaylord, and we are no strangers to The State Fair and its infamous corny dogs, but these are the things we have yet to experience and are determined to cross them off our list:

1. Weekend stay at Great Wolf Lodge

2. Visit Legoland

3. Ride the train to Ft. Worth

4. Go to a Cowboys game

5. Explore the Nasher Sculpture Garden

6. Admire the city from Reunion Tower

7. Go to a Musical at Fair Park

8. Finally make it out to the Ft. Worth Zoo

9. Go on a date at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar

10. Eagerly await the opening of the Chidren’s Arboretum!

What’s on your Dallas bucket list? Any things that you can’t leave Dallas without experiencing?

I would have way more than 10 things on a bucket list like that, so this is just my top 10 list of things I would want to do with the kids before we left (in addition to the great list you already have):
    1. Walk/bike down Katy Trail.
    2. Visit the 6th floor Museum, Old Red Courthouse and JFK Memorial.
    3. Attend a concert at the Arboretum.
    4. Visit Dallas Heritage Village and the Farmer’s Market.
    5. Have cheese fries at Snuffer’s; burgers and people-watching at Keller’s, pizza from Campizi’s, pasta at Patrizio… (not all on the same day!)
    6. View the lights in Highland Park and visit Neiman Marcus downtown at Christmas time.
    7. Perot Museum of Nature and Science
    8. Cheer runners on at the White Rock Marathon.
    9. Bird-watching at White Rock Lake.
    10. A picnic on the lawn in the courtyard at Northpark Mall.

    Love your blog!

    2. ride the DART rail to the Dallas Zoo
    3. Market Days at our local Eden’s Organic Farm in Balch Springs
    4. explore the Bishop Arts area (get some pie at Emporium Pie Shop – yumm!!)
    5. spend a day at King Spa (not for those fearful of being in the buff)
    6. eat at Spiral Diner
    7. pricey but fun: Afternoon Tea at the Adolphus Hotel
    (NORTH OF TOWN)
    8. discover animatronic dinosaurs in the wild at the Heard Museum in McKinney
    9. play in the fountain at the Village at Fairview
    10. Earthfest at Connemara Conservancy
    10.
