Kidville! But is it for the Working Parent?

You’ve likely heard many of us here at Dallas Moms Blog rave about Kidville, but did you think it was only for the moms who are home with their little ones during the week?

If so, think again!

Although Kidville hosts a ton of class options Monday through Friday, they also have weekend classes and play village options.  My little guy is enrolled in the Saturday morning class – Rockin’ Railroad and to say “he loves it” is an understatement (does it count that mommy loves it too?!?).

From the moment we step foot in the room, the wonderful class instructors and their accompanying rock band make the kids feel right at home.  Even though we’re only there once a week, the instructors call all the kids out by name.  It’s a fun, engaging time for parents and kids alike.   Dallas Moms Blog Kidville Dallas Rockin Railroad

Don’t the weekends always seem so short?  If you’re anything like me, you strive to accomplish as much as possible all the while trying to ensure that it’s quality time with the family.

Talk about maximizing your time – I was able to schedule my little guy for a haircut at Kidville for 10:00 am – right after his Rockin’ Railroad class ended!  My husband and I are always looking for opportunities to minimize the in-and-out of the car seat, so being able to cross something off our to-do list was great. That doesn’t even cover all the other retail available within the shopping center and adjacent centers as well.  It’s a happening intersection, for sure!

I wouldn’t label my son a fan of the haircut (au contraire), however, with the many distractions they keep on hand, there’s sure to be something to occupy your little tike while the oh-so-patient hairstylist snips away.

There’s an adorable red airplane to ride in for the journey, a flat screen on the wall with a popular kid’s movie playing, small cars & trucks, maracas for noise-making, fun stickers, lollipops, bubbles, and a window to see all that’s going on outside.  The sweet stylist even has a lint remover in her arsenal to get the special guest cleaned up and hair-free, so you don’t have to rush home and put them in the bathtub.

In addition to kids’ haircuts, they offer adults’ haircuts, bang trims & kids’ updos for all those little princesses out there!

In fact, you can take advantage of a night out with your significant other as soon as Valentine’s Day.
